Inching up from within the pit
It whispers promises of a world you do not know
And speaks again of things you’ll show
The world when your soul has split
Into a facade so counterfeit
Forsaking all your present need
To offer you a different greed
A reality most hypocrite
It laughs within and mark me well
Escaping it unimaginable
Scraping you out to create a shell
Something all but fathomable
Pleading to other to see you are unwell
While you are certain it’s not vanquishable
Those tease it’s presence but misunderstand
When it eats you up, you can only crash land
