The First Day Of

When the rain got worse, the two of them returned within the walls. Aziraphale had to report back and he was certain Crawly had somewhere else to be as well, but neither of them wanted to make the trip in such weather, so they waited it out in the garden.

Aziraphale was slightly aware that he should have gone anyway. To tell people about Crawly being here and being the tempting one and all, but the rest of him decided that the truth of the matter wouldn’t change no matter how far out the report was, so he might as well make sure he looked the part for when he did tell the others exactly what it was that went down.

Zombie Apocalypse (pt24)

“Well, you’re probably better equipped to handling this. Good luck, Heherson.”

“Where are you going?” Irish asked as Tim went for the door.

“Uh, home. I’m tired.”

“You aren’t going to leave him to do this himself!”

“Worried about me, yeah?” Heherson asked hopefully.

Irish ignored him, fixing Tim with a glare. “You won’t leave him to do this on his own. Not with the limited time left.”

“Well, what can I do? I don’t have a lead now that my only one has proven to be wrong. A necromancer could be anywhere when not on the registry. How do you track one down?”

Heherson laughed. “Well, you-”

“And if he knows, then he certainly doesn’t need me-”

Irish interrupted him. “Neither of you are going home until this is settled.”

“Heherson’s already home.”

“All three of us will work together?” Heherson looked thrilled. “Ah, man, this will be fun!”

Irish blinked. “I didn’t say I was going to-”

“No one’s going home until this is settled, right?” Tim reiterated.

Irish scowled. “I have a case to- oh, who am I kidding. I won’t have a meeting if this goes through. All right, where do we start?”

Tim should have known she would agree like that and that it would leave him even less off the hook. Swallowing, he looked between the exes – Irish intensely focused and Heherson intensely focused on Irish.

It could have been worse. It could have been the zombie apocalypse.

Zombie Apocalypse (pt16)

Getting out of the car and back into the air, Tim held his hands tightly in his coat pockets as he crossed the street, trying to ignore the feeling of death that was trying to permeate all of his senses. As if he didn’t see the picture already. Staring at Heherson’s door, he brought his hand up and gave the wooden structure a few hard knocks.

It didn’t take Heherson as long to answer as it had Irish and it was obvious to Tim that Heherson hadn’t been to sleep yet. He was more of a night owl, if Tim remembered correctly. “Hey there, Heherson.”

“Timothy?” Heherson grinned, giving Tim a light punch in the shoulder. It didn’t hurt at all, but Tim couldn’t stop himself from wincing at the contact. “Hey there, man, how’s it going? I haven’t seen you in a bit.”

“Oh, well, you know. I tend to get to my parties a little earlier and leave them like that too.”

“Yeah, yeah, I know. Too early and you burn yourself out, you know?”

“It’s not the burning out, I just don’t like being out at night.”

“Eh, could’ve fooled me!”
